Hi there -- Thanks for your suggestion. I'm afraid we don't have any immediate plans to review this adjustable base however we do prioritize our reviews based on input from our readers, so your interest in our coverage of it will certainly be noted.
In the meantime, FWIW I would be highly reluctant to purchase any adjustable base without a lot of information about it, and about its manufacturer. Adjustable bases are big, long-term purchases that have a lot of moving parts. As such, quality is very important, as are the warranty terms and support. These are things that come from the manufacturer, not the retailer.

Hi there -- Thank you very much for this thoughtful suggestion. We certainly agree that what you need from a mattress changes (and becomes more specific) as you get older.
It's an interesting idea to try to find someone in that age category whom we could train to become a mattress expert such that they would be qualified to do an in-depth review that meets our standards.
In the meantime, we will continue to make sure that all of our reviews address the characteristics that tend to be most uniquely applicable to people over 60, such as ease of repositioning, acute pressure relief requirements, edge support, adjustable base compatibility, and the like.

Hi there -- Thank you for your suggestion. In terms of the first two on your list, both Sealy and Stearns & Foster produce dozens of different models in hundreds (if not thousands) of different names each year. Given the thorough and in-depth nature of our review process, we aren't able to perform full reviews of all of these models. Instead, we felt it would be more useful to create a video overview of the full lineup for each of these brands, explaining in plain English the key features of each product and how those features change as you move through the different options in each product line. Hi Ken -- Thanks for your question, and for the constructive feedback about videos! We have struggled at times in trying to capture on film what I'm truly feeling in terms of how well my spine is aligned in that side position. I try to be in a fully relaxed position for that shot but factors like the angle of my neck or whether I'm leaning forward at all (both of which are difficult to precisely standardize across videos) can have an impact on how it looks to the camera.
Can you name any examples of specific videos where you felt that my verbal explanation didn't match what you were seeing on the screen?
Regarding your question, can you clarify what type of pain you are experiencing? If it is spinal pain that runs across your shoulder area then this could be related to either the up-tilt in the spine that you referenced or a pillow that doesn't properly match the combination of you and your mattress. If it is more of a soreness on the outside of your shoulder, then this is due to inadequate pressure relief.

Hi there -- Thanks for your suggestion. Thus far we have only reviewed mattresses sold in North America, so the Simba mattress is not one that's been on our list. That said, as more people in the UK express interest in our reviews, we will certainly consider expanding our coverage to include more of those mattresses.

Hi there -- I'm very sorry you took anything on our site that way. Our intention is merely to help everyone find the right mattress for them. Weight is an important factor in that, so we simply want to make sure we have the requisite information to show you the most accurate and useful matches.
In terms of the copy you mentioned, I was not aware of this but I can imagine it was computer-generated text that just doesn't make sense for the term Plus-Size the way it does for other things that can affect your sleep.
Are you able to attach a screenshot of where you saw this text so we can fix this?

Hi there -- Thank you for this suggestion. Are there any specific medical issues that you would like to see added to our list of considerations?
In terms of wheelchair users, I think this would certainly be a factor in considering how your bed is set up (e.g., the height of the bed frame, whether to use a box spring, possible need/desire for an adjustable base, etc.), however TBH I'm not sure how it would affect which mattress would be best for you. The only thing that comes to mind is that some mattresses might be too thick, making it harder to get into bed, but even this could be mitigated depending on the height of the bed frame. That said, I am not a doctor and could be missing something, so if there are other factors that people in wheelchairs should be considering when choosing a mattress, I would appreciate you letting me know.

Hi Rachel -- Thank you for this suggestion. I'm not sure how we missed replying to this earlier -- I apologize for not doing so.
This was a very helpful recommendation and over the past couple months we have started to include discussion of this in our videos, particularly in the unboxing videos when the mattress is first opened. In cases where the smell took longer than 24-48 hours to dissipate (particularly if it had not dissipated by the time we filmed our review), we've been making sure to mention that in the review video as well. We'll also be sure to cover this in any written reviews that we add down the line.

Thank you very much for your feedback! I assume you're talking about the review videos? If so, we agree that it would be great for them to be as short as 10 minutes. In practice though, we have struggled with what to cut out.
Every mattress has over a dozen characteristics. Only a couple are relevant to all consumers, but all of them are relevant to a good number of consumers. In order to meet our goal of helping people determine whether a given mattress is right for them, we need to show (and sometimes explain) each of these characteristics in a way that makes them clear.
In the short-term, what we have done is made sure to include a detailed table of contents in the description of every review, so our viewers can skip to the content that is most interesting / relevant to them. We also include a summary section at the end of every video with the most important take-aways -- if you are short on time or just want the highlights, we would definitely recommend skipping to that.
All that said, if you have any more specific feedback on how we could structure the videos to make them shorter or otherwise easier to digest, we would very much welcome it.

Thanks Chloe! This is a great suggestion and one we've considered adding so will definitely note your interest in it.
Also, just as an FYI in the meantime, adjustable base compatibility does NOT eliminate coil spring mattresses entirely -- it only eliminates certain coil spring mattresses. For example, most mattresses with "pocketed coils" ARE compatible with an adjustable base.
